This replacement dwelling is situated in an area of townscape character, situated opposite C.S Lewis ‘s childhood home ‘Little Lea’. Designed to the clients’ desire to have a dwelling in keeping with the surrounding area the house will rest easily into the site. The site is bordered by mature trees and hedgerows allowing the new house to sit well protected from the road. The design allows for a rear garden fashioned around a court yard approach which will capture morning and afternoon sun. Living and kitchen spaces are set around this area with doors opening onto the courtyard.
