InsideOut Architects is a Bangor-based architectural practice founded by Keith Mooney, working across residential, commercial, conservation and interior projects throughout Northern Ireland.
Keith established the practice with a design-led approach centred on architecture that is clear, considered and rooted in place. Our work combines a careful understanding of context and existing fabric with contemporary design, thoughtful materials and practical delivery.
From new homes and sensitive extensions to listed buildings, workplaces and cultural projects, every commission is developed around the client, the site and the long-term use of the building. We work closely with clients, consultants and contractors from initial concept through planning, technical design and completion, creating architecture that is distinctive, functional and built to last.
Keith has always had a real passion for photography and personally photograph our completed projects, using the camera as another way of exploring architecture, light, material and place. He also spends a considerable amount of time developing architectural visualisations, combining traditional 3D modelling and digital techniques with emerging AI tools. For me, these are not simply presentation tools — they are part of the design process, helping to test ideas, communicate atmosphere and explore how a building might ultimately be experienced.
