Insideout architects have been engaged to develop an application document for the development Bangor Rugby Football and Cricket Club (BRF&CC) to provide new changing facilities and internal improvements to their existing building. The design of the extension is characterized by its clean, linear lines and minimalist aesthetic. This modern approach contrasts with traditional rugby club architecture, bringing a fresh, contemporary feel to the facility. The existing circulation within the building will be make it easier to navigate with definite routes to each part of the building. The extension seeks to provide additional changing facilities for women’s rugby along with upgrades to main changing facilities. At first floor level a new balcony will be provided, extending along the front of the building.

The Balcony will be connected to the main hall and kitchen. The balcony meets with the new modern timber cladding that wraps around the kitchen, which adds warmth and texture to the otherwise sleek exterior. The use of timber creates a striking visual contrast against the rendered walls. The balcony provides an elevated viewing area for spectators, allowing them to overlook the first team pitch with an unobstructed view. It is equipped with a combination of standing and seated areas, making it a versatile space for watching matches or enjoying social events.
